Ongoing door-to-door shipment still undelivered - my experience with Four Seasons

I booked Four Season Relocation (S) Pte Ltd in May 2025 for a door-to-door move from Singapore (Tanjong Rhu) to my home in Peania, Greece.

I was quoted and invoiced for door-to-door sea freight in a 20ft container, plus transit insurance. The quotation and discussions made it clear that this was a full door-to-door service with no hidden destination delivery charges under normal access and normal customs clearance.

My goods were packed in early July 2025. The estimate given to me was roughly 28 days port-to-port plus 10–15 days for customs. On that basis, I reasonably expected delivery around mid-October 2025.

In reality, the container arrived at Piraeus only around 30 September 2025. Their destination partner in Greece (Orphee Beinoglou) then raised additional local charges (including warehouse handling, a second customs fee and an administration surcharge). I disagreed that these were within the original “door-to-door” scope, but I ultimately paid everything requested under protest so that my family could get our belongings.

Despite that, as of December 2025 my shipment remains customs-cleared but stored in the Greek agent’s warehouse. In email, the Greek agent has stated that I owe them nothing and that they are waiting for payment or a “green light” from Four Seasons before they will deliver. In other words, my personal belongings are still being held because of an unresolved payment issue between Four Seasons and their own agent.

Separately, after I first posted a negative review about this experience, a representative of Four Seasons contacted me and said they would not pay their agent unless I removed that review. Acting in good faith, I took the review down. To date, my belongings are still undelivered and the situation remains unresolved.

I am now working with lawyers in both Singapore and Greece. This review reflects my personal experience only, based on my own emails, invoices and correspondence. I strongly recommend that anyone considering using Four Seasons for an international door-to-door move makes very careful enquiries about what is (and is not) included at destination, and how they handle disputes with their overseas agents.

I strongly advise against using this company.

My experience started off well — the staff was polite and responsive before I signed the contract. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment I made full payment. After that, my emails went unanswered, and despite repeated requests, I was never given receipts for the deposit or the remaining balance. Thankfully, I paid via PayNow, so I have proof of payment even though the company refused to provide documentation.

I was told my shipment from Singapore to the USA would arrive within a maximum of 10 weeks, and my contract clearly stated that the quoted price covered door‑to‑door delivery, including unpacking.

On packing day, the crew arrived early, packed everything, and took the boxes away. I later received an email with the vessel departure date and the estimated arrival timeline.

Once the shipment reached the USA, the partner company contacted me to say it had cleared customs and was sitting in their warehouse. Then the problems escalated. I received two separate invoices from the US partner: the first was US$36 for “port fee,” which we paid despite being confused. Weeks later, a second invoice arrived — this time for US$3,000 for delivery services. They stated they would not release or deliver my shipment until this amount was paid. This was outrageous, as I had already paid Four Season in full for door‑to‑door service.

I immediately emailed Four Season, but once again received no response. I then contacted the surveyor via WhatsApp, sending proof of my full payment along with the US$3,000 invoice. He acknowledged that my payment covered door‑to‑door delivery and asked for more time to resolve the issue. That deadline came and went with no update. Meanwhile, my shipment remains on hold, and I am extremely anxious because it contains important documents and time‑sensitive items. Four Season has stopped replying to emails, messages, and now refuses to answer phone calls altogether.

It has now been 13 weeks, and my belongings are still stuck in the warehouse because of this unresolved payment dispute.

Companies that treat customers this way — ignoring communication, withholding receipts, and failing to honor contractual obligations — do not deserve our trust or our business.

I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO THINK TWICE BEFORE CHOOSING THEM AS YOUR RELOCATION COMPANY.

Dear Ms. Dorothy, thank you for your feedback. We are in communication. As mentioned our quote was for door to door services excluding duty/tax or any hidden cost such as abnormal access delivery etc. We had co-loaded your shipment with one of our friendly company. We are working to resolve the issue and your shipment delivery is guaranteed. We humbly request you to remove this review. Thank you.

The company packed my staff end of September and told me I will receive those by 8 weeks. Its more than 10 weeks, they haven’t ship my staff yet. Now they are not receiving my calls, neither replies my emails.

⚠️ Warning: Avoid Four Season Relocation Singapore

I strongly advise anyone not to use Four Season Relocation Singapore for moving services.

We paid in full on 24 June 2025 for our household shipment from Singapore to Cape Town, South Africa. Packing was completed in July, and the container arrived in Cape Town in early October — but Four Season has refused to release our Bill of Lading / Waybill, meaning our goods remain stuck at the port.

Despite dozens of calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails from both us and their South African partner, the company has ignored all communication or made false promises to resolve the issue.

On 13 October 2025, my husband visited their listed address at 101 Kitchener Road, #03-04A Jalan Besar Plaza, and building security confirmed that no such company operates there.

We are now incurring daily storage charges and facing major financial and emotional stress.

This experience raises serious concerns about fraudulent or unethical conduct.
Please be extremely cautious — check that any relocation company you use is legitimately registered, physically verified, and transparent about release documents.

Great value movers providing a similar service to the competitors. We did have troubles with last minute changes to the container arriving to collect our items which caused a fair bit of stress.

The Thai Agent they used was excellent though and guided us through the customs and delivery process flawlessly.
